RESOURCE ROOMS
PRAYATNA trains teachers and provides materials to set up resource rooms in schools. The purpose of the resource room is to promote academic skills in children who are experiencing difficulties in mainstream classrooms. The resource room is not a ‘tuition’ centre in the conventional sense of the word where the teacher simply revises content taught in the classroom. Instead, a resource room helps children acquire skills of reading, spelling, syntax and numeracy to cope more easily and independently in regular classrooms.
